Leavenworth, WA Webcam

Our family has enjoyed Leavenworth every summer and fall since 2001. Our grandson was born several days prior to our Christmas trip in 2002.His mommy just packed him up and he experienced his first tree lighting !
We as a family recommed all the festivals and events that are available.Placess we recommend for trying are, Renisance cafe.German Bakery as you enter town from Wenatchee ' Wether there is snow or not the
tree lighting ceremony is one event not to be missed.

It's nearing mid-December and Leavenworth has no snow this year? Please bring some in for our trip this Christmas 2008! :)

What a GREAT PLACE! Only a couple hours from Seattle by road and so picturesque, with nice hotels, motels, restaurants and gift shops. Beautiful out-door recreation year-round, and many festivals throughout the year celebrating everything from music to food to central European-style festivals! We recommend getting a small hotel right downtown within walking distance from all the local shops and restaurants. It is for anyone who likes a smaller community, moderate prices and gorgeous scenery!

Leavenworth is a beautiful place. I have been there many times for camp and visiting with friends. It is actually takes about two hours to two and half hours from the Seattle area. It depends on the conditions. However, I average about two hours anf fifteen minutes even on a good day.

There are many hikiing and even water activities nearby in the Summer and it is a great place to visit if you want snow in the winter. The Wenatchee River runs right throught the edge of town and is a great place for walking or swimming. Also, the town is modeled after a Bavarian German village and has lots of great shops.
